Duman

One of the biggest music bands in Turkey 'Duman' has released their two new albums just a month ago. Eventhough there were a lot of rumors and complaints about their reasons!! to release the new album in two pieces instead of one... people either bought it or just downloaded from internet as a reaction.

I would like to ask people who protests 'Duman' buy downloading their CD's from internet for free, if they would rather 'Duman' to release just the first album and wait for a year, do nothing creative or usefull, and then release the second album??? Then would they but the CD's instead of downloading them... The band worked really hard for their new album for 4 years now and i think they deserve the money they will make with two album. Plus there are thirty, thirty five
songs in total. Which is a really big number of songs to put in only one album.

There is also a new respiration in the new album. Anyone can realize that a few of the new songs are different than the regular 'Duman' style which is pretty pessimistic and dark. Maybe that's what made a lot of old 'Duman' fans dissapointed about the new songs while there is another section of the fans who are pleased with the new songs.

It's not a really big deal in my point of view since there are enough songs for anyone in both old school 'Duman' style and the new songs inspired from the origins of punk (maybe) or some faster high tempo songs. But as expected from a original band like 'Duman' they didn't only take the new music style for their songs, but they rather combine it with their own style and then use it for a new breath in their songs.

Fame

Actually I am not even sure if I would like to be famous. I think I wouldn't like people stalking me everywhere and not being able to walk around as free as i can do now. But if I would got fame in a way, I would like to be a writer. Because if you are a writer and famous it means you managed to pass your ideas to other people. Which means the true immortality for me . I would like people to read my books even after a long time after my death. I would like other people to see from my point of view and carry the civilization forward. I would like students to learn from my books rather than those unreal ones government will provide them.
